Bengaluru: The State Cabinet on Thursday January 6 has approved grants and projects worth Rs. 6000 Crore to be released over the next three years for the City.
In the allocations that will be made under the Amruth Nagarothana Scheme, for treatment of City’s sewage and thus use the treated water to fill lakes in Bengaluru East and Hoskote Rs. 93 Crore would be made available. A 10-lane flyover has been proposed from Hebbal to Kempegowda International Airport to manage heavy traffic on the stretch.
Further, the Government will go ahead with buying of 100 non-AC electric buses with an allocation of Rs. 100 Crore. Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister JC Madhuswamy stressed that the development works announced are not keeping in mind the BBMP Polls.
