Bengaluru: The State Development Council, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in Bengaluru on Friday July 2, discussed and approved the action plans of all departments for the year 2021-22.
CM said, “During the year, the State Government has allotted Rs 26,005.01 crore to 35 various development departments for the development of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. While the SC community has been allocated Rs 18,331.54 crore, the ST community has been allocated Rs 7,673.47 crore for the year.”
“Land and other benefits for SC/STs shall always be granted in the combined names of both the husband and wife. The meeting decided that while providing grants from the State and Union governments for construction of houses and toilets to be enhanced from the present Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 each,” he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Govind M Karjol, Deputy Chief Minister Transport Minister Laxman Savadi, Social Welfare Minister B Sriramulu, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K S Eshwarappa, MLAs Raju Gowda, N Mahesh, S Raghu, Aihole Dhuryodhana and MP Dr G Umesh Jadav, Chief Secretary P Ravikumar, Additional Chief Secretary Dr N Nagambhikadevei and other officials were present.
