Bengaluru: According to officials, all 130 students and staff members from a private school who recently went on a trip to Hyderabad have been tested negative for Covid-19.
According to sources, the Cluny Convent High School in Jalahalli, which is affiliated with the State board, took 130 students and a few staff members to Hyderabad on Thursday December 9. Due to the emergence of Omicron and Covid clusters across the State, the State Government has instructed schools and institutions not to organise any cultural or educational activities.
The Department of Public Instruction issued a notice to the school for violating Covid protocols and provisions of the National Disaster Management Act (NDMA), after parents who did not send their kids on the trip complained.
According to T. N. Kamalakara, Block Education Officer (North 4), when the students and staff arrived in Bengaluru early on Sunday morning, officials tested them, and all of the results were negative.
The department is yet to get a response from the school management to a notice on the trip.
