Bengaluru: The traffic on the outer ring road was disrupted causing chaos after Sumanahalli flyover developed cracks. Following the fear of flyover collapsing, the BBMP banned vehicle movement on the flyover for ten days.
This flyover connects Nayandahalli- Goragunte Palya.
As the news spread, BBMP mayor M Gautham Kumar and commissioner BH Anil Kumar visited the spot. Both of them informed that repair work of the flyover has been taken up and it will be completed in the next ten days.
According to the BBMP authorities, samples of materials used for the construction of this flyover will be tested for the quality. This flyover was thrown open for public use in 2008.
