Mysuru: Congress MLA Tanveer Sait, who is being treated at the Columbia Asia Hospital after being attacked by a youth with a knife at a wedding ceremony, had undergone a surgery to fix his ear. The surgery, unfortunately, was unsuccessful.
When the doctors took of the bandages to check on his ear on Thursday, November 21 morning, they found that injured part of the ear had turned black and so, they decided to remove that part of the ear.
Chief medical officer of Columbia Asia Hospital, Dr Upendra Shenoy informed that the part was removed and handed over to Sait’s family. He also stated that plastic surgery would be required to fix the ear.
“As Sait has suffered severe injuries to his neck area, his lips will get a little droopy while laughing and speaking. He also has a changed voice due to the injuries on his neck, which will take at least three weeks to go back to normal,” said Dr Shenoy.
Meanwhile, the doctor has said that Sait would be shifted to the ward and would require a week’s rest at the hospital.
It can be recalled that on Sunday, November 17 night, a youth named Farhan Pasha (name revealed by police) had attacked Tanveer Sait with a knife at a wedding ceremony. He was immediately rushed to the Columbia Asia Hospital as he was bleeding profusely.
