Bengaluru: A few hours after the encounter of four accused of the sexual assault in Cyberabad in Telangana, city police commissioner Vishwanath Sajjanar has become a national hero.
Sajjanar is a Kannadiga officer, who hails from Dharwad in Karnataka.
According to the authorities, Sajjanar was born and brought up in Hubballi. His father is from Asuti village of Rona taluk of the Gadag district. Presently, the Sajjanavar family is staying in Kanchagara Galli in Hubballi. Sajjanar completed B.Com from a local college and pursued MBA from Karnataka University, Dharwad.
He is a 1996 batch IPS officer. He worked in 8 districts of the undivided Andhra. As the news of encounter spread, celebrations were carried out in Hubballli hailing Sajjanar and his courage.
