Bengaluru: Even though Mujarai temples like Kollur, Hasanamba, Chamundeshwri temples of the state have broken all-time records in the Hundi collection, the state mujarai minister Rudrappa Lamani has stopped visiting his office in the Vikasa Soudha citing paucity of funds in his department.

Speaking to reporters in Haveri, Lamani stated that he has no money in his department which has forced him to stop visiting the department. “There is no money in the bank account of the department. If I visit the office, devotees come and demand grant. From where I can give money?” he said.

“People have faith in the god, tradition, prayers. So we need to give them the money,” he said.
