Bengaluru: The Department of Primary and Secondary Education has warned the textbook printers of penalty if they don’t meet the deadline of delivering text books.
The warning comes in the wake of the printers temporarily suspending the printing of textbooks following the non-availability of raw materials. Karnataka Textbook Society has set May 14 as the deadline for delivering the textbooks.
For the academic year, 2022 – 23 as many as six crore copies of 530 textbook titles have been given for printing. If the textbook is delivery is delayed, the printers will be penalised.
