Bengaluru: The state government has sought Rs.500 crore from the central government to implement Kempegowda International Airport connectivity line.
According to the sources in the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the company is facing a shortage of Rs.1,000 crores for the implementation of this line.
“The plan is to seek Rs.500 crores from the central government as grant in aid and Rs.500 crores as the loan from other sources,” informed an officer privy to the developments.
“The BMRCL requires Rs.3,400 crores to complete the ongoing projects. Efforts have been made to secure loans from various agencies,” he said.
