Bengaluru: The state government has finally been able to resolve the 115 days old dispute between a section of labourers and the Toyota Kirloskar unit in Bidadi.

The lockout was withdrawn in a meeting held between company officials, labour leaders, labour Minister Shivaram Hebbar. Meeting was chaired by DCM CN Ashwath Narayan.

Speaking to the reporters after the meeting, DCM requested the industrialists and labour unions to resolve issues amicably. “Any dispute will affect the image of the state. State is now witnessing steady flow of investment,” he said.

Since November 10, the lockout was announced in this plant located in Bidadi over labour demands. Over 2,800 labourers are working in this plant.
