Bengaluru: The Jnanbharathi Police have arrested celebrity Tsunami Kitty of Kannada Big Boss fame along with three others for assault and attempt to murder.

Along with Kitty, the police have also nabbed Santosh, Arjun and Yogesh and seized a pistol that was employed in the crime.

The quartet had kidnapped Taushiq and Girish on February 28, and kept them in illegal confinement, inside a house at Horamavu, on the outskirts of the city. However, Girish managed to escape from his captive’s clutches and informed the Jnanabharathi police. This eventually led to the arrest of Tsunami Kitty and his accomplices.

The police have also filed a case of illegal possession of arms against Kitty and are on the lookout for Sunil, who instigated the crime.

Case history:

Kitty’s friend Sunil’s wife was involved in an illicit relationship with Taushiq. After learning of her relationship, Sunil asked Kitty and the others to plot Taushiq’s killing. Kitty also had come to know that Taushiq had been to the bar once with his “girlfriend”, suspected to be Sunil’s wife.

Kitty and his accomplices first assaulted Girish, who was employed at a bar, where they regularly drank presuming him to be Taushiq. When Taushiq present at the bar that day smelt the danger, he managed to escape from the bar without paying the bill.

After coming to know of the mistaken identity, Kitty and his accomplices threatened Girish and employed him to trap Taushiq. Accordingly, Girish asked Taushiq to pay the pending dues and arranged for a meeting with the latter at a traffic signal near Gorguntepalya. When Taushiq arrived to pay the dues, the quartet managed to kidnap both and kept them in confinement at a farmhouse in Horamavu.

Meanwhile, police tracked the call records of Kitty and the others, who had failed to turn up at the bar during the last 2-3 days and eventually succeeded in nabbing the quartet. Sunil is reportedly absconding.
