Tumkuru: The former minister V Somanna, who has contested from Varuna and Chamarajanagara in assembly election and lost in both constituencies. According to sources Somanna is being considered for the BJP ticket from the Tumkur Lok Sabha constituency.
The Tumakur MP G S Basavaraju disclosed this in a program of Veerashaiva Samaj held in Tumkur city . He said I am retiring from electoral politics as I am getting old. The party will give ticket to V Somanna who belongs to our community for the next election. I said this when I went to Delhi. Therefore, everyone in the community should work together, we should not quarrel among ourselves and benefit others, Kiwi said to the people of the society.
This speech of MP GS Basavaraju created a stir in the district.
