Tumakuru: The BJP will prepare the State and District-level election manifesto for the coming Assembly elections and a separate manifesto will be done for Tumakuru District by receiving demands and responding to the aspirations of the people, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating the Vijay Sankalp Yatra here on Saturday January 21, he said the yatra was launched from Booth Number 157 in Ward Number 26, and the maximum number of membership must take place here. “The citizens can give a missed call to become members. Each sticker must be pasted on two houses, and the programmes of both the State and Union Governments must be explained to every house. It will be a nine-day campaign and each Constituency must have at least one lakh members through the missed call campaign. The booth-level campaign must be encouraged for the party to become strong,” he said.

Bommai said Vijay Sankalp Yatra has been starting at every booth as well as in every Mandal across the state. The Party National President J. P. Nadda launched this campaign in Vijayapura and other leaders like former CM B. S. Yediyurappa, State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel and BJP National General Secretary and In-Charge of Karnataka Affairs Arun Singh have inaugurated this campaign in different parts of the State.

He said some more programmes will be given by the party leaders. The Rath Yatra will be launched from all four directions in the next few weeks to create awareness. The manifesto will be prepared in consultation with the people.
