Tumakuru: An elderly woman, who had been missing for the last three days, was found murdered in a cupboard inside her neighbour’s house at Neralur Village in Anekal taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Parvathamma (80), a native of Sira in Tumakuru. It is suspected that Payal Khan, a neighbour, killed the elderly woman for gold ornaments, tied her hands and legs and put her in the cupboard of the house and fled.

The old lady’s son Ramesh, his wife and grandchildren have been living in rent at a building in Neralur Village for the past 10 months. Payal Khan was on the third floor of the same building. Twenty days ago, Parvathamma had come here to see her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
