The theft took place near the new building of Bommala Devipura Agricultural Credit Service Co-operative Society in Holavanahalli Hobli of the Taluk. It is said that the thieves may have brought some vehicle at night and fled.

The Agricultural Service Co-operative Society, which comes under the state-owned DCC Bank, is in the process of constructing the building at a cost of Rs. 30 Lakh. This was the iron that had been brought for the construction of roof of this building.

Agricultural Service Co-operative Society new building is being constructed along the Gowribidanur – Madhugiri Road in the Village. Sheds are built next to the building to store construction items. In the shed there were hundreds of cement bags, however the thieves only stole the iron rods. Since there is no guard here, it is believed that some locals were involved in the theft.
