Tumakuru: Liquor worth Rs 70k stolen, cash looted from liquor shop

Tumakuru: Burglars broke into a liquor shop, damaged CCTV camera and decamped with liquor worth Rs. 70,000, including cash.

The incident was reported from a liquor shop besides the old National Highway 48 on the night of Wednesday October 12.

As usual, the shop owner had locked the shop, and the thieves, who were sitting on the ambush, barged into the shop’s shutter with an iron rod and decamped with various types of liquor worth Rs. 70,000 and Rs 1,000 in cash.

The CCTV camera was damaged so that the identity of the thieves could not be ascertained.

Kunigal Police has visited the spot, registered a case and launched an investigation.
