Tumakuru: ABVP activists and students staged a sit-in protest against the inadequate bus arrangements or service at KSRTC. They stopped buses near the bus stand and staged a protest on he morning of Monday December 26.
Hundreds of students led by ABVP Unit Organising Secretary Appu Patil staged a protest in front of the KSRTC bus stand and shouted slogans against the Transport Corporation officials.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that thousands of students from Kunigal go to Tumakuru everyday for studies. But the Transport Corporation Authorities have failed to arrange buses for the students in a timely manner. This makes it difficult for students to attend classes on time. The education of the students have been severely affected.
He alleged that the issue was brought to the notice of the transport officials several times but to no avail.
