Tumakuru: The development of Talkere Village, the birthplace of Late Talkere Subramanyam, a Former Minister of the State and the originator of Hemavathi water, has been constructed at a cost of around Rs. 3 Crore.
While laying the foundation stone for the CC Road being constructed at a cost of Rs. 85 lakh in Talkere Village and colony in the Taluk, MLA Masala Jayaram said, “The village was neglected for many years. He complained that no development work had been done by the MLAs who were in power till now.
In Talkere Village, road and drainage works, which have been pending for several years, have been initiated, he said and added that if the villagers cooperate and allow works, it will be an excellent road and drain.
“Now the first phase of work is underway. After this, additional work will be started again,” he said.
MLA Masala Jayaram instructed the officials and contractors to do good quality work.
