Tumakuru: Former Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Dr. Parameshwara said “I come from an educated family and have been serving the people for 30 years. I missed the Chief Minister’s post twice and this time if I’m lucky, I can become the CM, he added.

Speaking at a programme at Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama in Puravara Hobli of the Taluk, he said, “The people of this region are with me in my politics. For me, politics is about serving the people and not just becoming a CM, he said. Also, there is no tradition in the Congress to make the CM on the basis of caste, he added.

Further he said that when he was young, Vinoba Bhave used to come to his house and added that his father had met Gandhiji twice
