We all have to be committed to make such a dream come true. Veerashaiva and Lingayat are the two sides of a coin called Sharana Samaja, said Akhila Bharatha Veerashaiva, Lingayat Mahasabha State General Secretary and MLA Ishwar Khandre.
He was speaking after inaugurating a workshop on women and youth activists at the Bengaluru Divisional level organised by Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva, Lingayat Mahasabha at the premises of Sri Kshetra Siddaganga Matha premises here on Saturday November 12. “It is regrettable that in recent times, there has been a developing claim that Lingayats and Veerashaivas are different. Veerashaiva and Lingayat are like two sides of a coin called Sharana Samaja, he reiterated.
“There is no difference between the two of us. All of us who worship with a Linga in their palms are Veerashaiva Lingayats. This is the main objective of this two-day workshop and conference,” he added.
