Tumakuru: “I have never had such a bitter incident in my 35 years of political career. Will senior officials be ordered to lay the foundation stone of the work overnight. I would bring to the notice of the State Government and the Power Minister about the failure of the Officials of Tumakuru Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) Department and the political machinations of the BJP in Koratagere,” said Koratagere MLA Dr. G. Parameshwara.

He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for the works of power sub-station units on two sides by the cost-effective KPTCL on Wednesday November 16 of worth Rs. 11.68 Crore at I. K. Colony (Sankenahalli) in Koratagere Taluk and at a total of Rs. 21.85 Crore including Rs. 10.19 Crore in Thumbadi Village.

“Tumakuru KPTCL Department is responsible for laying the foundation stone for the work worth Rs. 21 Crore. What is the reason for postponing the foundation stone laying work overnight. KPTCL Executive Engineer (EE) was absent from the programme and switched off the mobile. The land breaking (guddali puja) was performed without the name plate of the foundation stone. The president and members of the local gram panchayat were not informed about the programme, he alleged.
