Tumakuru: Unable to bear the harassment of debtors, a housewife committed suicide at Gidadadasanapura village in Hutridurga hobli of the taluk on Thursday June 1.
Pavithra (25), a housewife from Gidadasanapura village, committed suicide.
It is alleged that Pavitra and her husband Anand had taken loans of over Rs 3.50 lakh from various societies and the loan had not been repaid.
It is alleged that the lenders had repeatedly come to the house and asked them to pay the loan amount, due to which the deceased Pavitra’s husband Anand, who left the house a week ago, have not returned home. Alarmed by this, Pavithra went to her native place Jaggasandra village in Nelamangala, where the debtors went to Jaggasandra village and demanded that the loan amount be paid now and then on Tuesday itself, pavitra was brought to Gidadasanapura village by the debtors.
The debtors had told that they will come on Saturday to take their money.Thinkong of repaying loan pavithra committed suicide by hanging herself.Kunigal police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
