Bengaluru: State BJP president and Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel has slammed the Congress party and its MLA, U T Khader for the events that took place in Mangaluru on December 19.
Speaking to ANI, Nalin said, “The Congress party enjoys while in power and turns to riot mode when not in power. The person responsible for the disruption of peace and harmony in the coastal city of Mangaluru is none other than U T Khader. Just a day after his speech against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), where he said that the whole state would burn to cinders if the Act is implemented, Mangaluru transformed into Kashmir. Rioters had resorted to stone-pelting.”
Further criticizing the party, he said, “The riots were pre-planned and the Congress has directly supported the rioters and has provoked them to wage an attack against the BJP government.”
