Bengaluru: Padmavibhushana Dr. D Veerendra Heggade has been selected for the Press Club’s ‘Person of the Year’ award.
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will confer the award on December 31 in an event to be held in the press club.
G Venkatasubbaiah has also been selected for the ‘Achiever of the Century’ award. As many as 16 journalists including KH Savitri, wife of education minister S Suresh Kumar, have been selected for annual awards of the press club. All the journalists are Bengaluru-based.
DCM Lakshman Savadi and CN Ashwatta Narayana will be the chief guests.
