Bengaluru: ‘Kannada Sapthaha’ will be observed and celebrated in over 2,000 private unaided schools in the state during the first or second week of November to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava.
Following instructions from Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka (KAMS), a week-long ‘Kannada Sapthaha’ will be organised for children to help them understand the value and importance of Kannada language. “The main agenda of organising ‘Kannada Sapthaha’ is to make students understand the value and importance of Kannada language,” said D Shashi Kumar general secretary of KAMS.
Schools will inform parents about the activities and asking them to encourage kids to take part in all events. Light music, and essay competitions on Kannada language, history, art and culture will be conducted. The schools have been instructed to decorate premises using red and yellow paper.
