Bengaluru: As weekend curfew has been imposed once again, the whole City has been under lock by 10.00 pm in the night on Friday January 7.
Police Department personnel came on roads to lock commercial buildings, barricaded main roads, flyovers and to set up check-post where it is essential. The city will be on lockdown for 55 hours, and will now only open on Monday January 10 at 5.00 am.
The Police Officers had begun preparations since the morning of Friday January 7. They have been pointing out the violators of the regulations and taking action on them according to Covid norms. The busy roads of Bengaluru were completely deserted last night. The curfew virtually stranded many passengers who arrived in the City.
Travellers at the KSR Bengaluru Railway Station and the Kempegowda Bus terminus struggled to take autorickshaws and cabs to get home. Police have warned of strict action against curfew violators and warned of seizing their vehicles.
Meanwhile in Dakshina District, the roads wore deserted look with tight security in place. Temples and other commercial centres too had no visitors.
