Ramanagar: This murder incident brings to light a nail biting movie thriller. In this case, a woman killed her husband with help of her paramour and others. She along with her paramour and two of his accomplices were nabbed finally by the Kumbalagodu police after strenuous efforts.
Ravikumar (42), a resident of Railway Parallel Road in Kengeri Satellite Town limits was killed by his wife Nagajyothi. Ravikumar married Nagajyothi 13 years ago and had 2 children.

Incident

On the fateful day, while travelling in a car, wife Nagajothi asked Ravikumar to pluck a few branches from a roadside tamarind tree. Unaware of what was to befall him, an innocent Ravi alighted from the car to fulfill his wife’s desire only to be injected with a deadly cyanide injection by two unknown men who vanished from the scene within seconds after the act.

Ravikumar reached home driving his car with great difficulty and explained the entire incident to his mother before death. He was rushed to BGS Global Hospital but efforts to resuscitate him turned futile.

In the meantime, Ravikumar’s mother lodged a complaint requesting the police to investigate into the incident.
When wife Nagajyothi was summoned by the police she gave different statements on each occasion which led to some suspicion. When police quizzed her thoroughly, she revealed the truth which led to her arrest, her paramour and two of his accomplices.

Paramour Ramakumar, a resident of Karimanaglam in Tamilnadu and Nagajyothi knew each other from school days and loved each other. Due to resistance from the elders their wedding did not come through and eventually both ended getting different spouses. Ramakumar had divorced his wife over differences and managed to get in touch with his old lover Nagajyothi. Their relationship blossomed again in an illicit form, which eventually led to the murder of Nagajyothi’s husband Ravikumar.

It is gathered that both Nagajyothi and Ramakumar had made an attempt earlier to kill Ravikumar at Krishnagiri in Tamilanadu by concocting a road accident. But when Ravikumar escaped with a minor leg injury, she was scared that he may get suspicious about it. Then she worked out on a stronger plot.

Graduate Ramakumar had managed to buy cyanide under the pretext of testing purity of gold through one of his pharmacist friend’s. After obtaining cyanide both plotted the murder on October 20 when Ravikumar was convinced out of his house on the pretext of visiting Saibaba Temple in Challaghatta on the outskirts of Bangalore. While returning, Ravikumar had fallen prey to the vicious plot.

However, Kumbalagodu police succeeded in arresting all the accused by cracking the case and thereby exposing the heinous intentions of Nagajyothi.
