On impact, the glass splintered and hit the two students, who along with other children, were waiting in the corridor for their parents after school. Around 20 students were standing at the corridor when the incident took place.

The school management rushed the injured students to a nearby private hospital.

The girl, studying in class 1, sustained a cut on her neck. The boy was shifted to Manipal Hospital. Both children are said to be out of danger. Rekha Vinod, principal of the school, said that the management informed the parents and also reported the accident to the jurisdictional Hennur police. The Hennur police said that they are probing to ascertain the cause of the accident.
