Mangaluru: A 51-year-old woman from Jokatte in Surathkal succumbed to Covid-19 today, June 28.
With this, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 has reached 13 in Dakshina Kannada district.
The woman, who succumbed to the disease today was suffering from tuberculosis and was admitted to a private hospital, located in Kana near Surathkal few days ago.
As her condition was serious on Saturday, she was shifted to a private hospital in city. Her throat swab was ested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, June 27.
She also had some other health issues like blood pressure, diabetes etc.
It can be noted that two persons had succumbed to the disease on Saturday late.
