Yadgir: Covid-19 compensation cheques bounce, CM assures action

Bengaluru: The State Government has received a complaint by the kin of Covid – 19 victims from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families in Yadgir District that Rs. 1 lakh compensation cheques they got from the Government have bounced. They alleged that banks provided illogical reasons for the same.

Speaking to mediapersons Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday January 21 said that he had received reports regarding bouncing of cheques, following which he has instructed officials to look into the matter, immediately. He also added that such cases were reported only from Yadgir District.

CM Bommai added that he has ordered officials to release the compensation without any delay.
