Bengaluru: The Indian Air Force on Sunday February 20 rescued the young trekker from Bramhagiri Rocks. The youth got in the Rocks at Nandi Hills after slipping and falling 300 feet below.

An Mi17 helicopter was launched and an intense search began early evening after Chikkaballapura Deputy Commissioner contacted the Yelahanka Air Force Station with an SOS message. The local police gave ground guidance. Soon the stranded and immbile victim was located. The Flight Gunner of the Mi17 was lowered by winch next to the youth which helped him to harness and brought him up safely to the helicopter.

The on-board Air Force medical assistant attended to the youth, and he was brought to Air Force Station. Around 6.00 pm, he was shifted to a hospital nearby.
