Karwar: In an incident reported in Tadadi port of Gokarna in Uttara Kannada District, a man was murdered in a terrace on Friday September 24.
The deceased has been identified as Vivekananda Puthu Shanbhag of Tadadi. It is said that the accused in murder is originally from Orissa and had arrived at the port for fishing. The accused hit Vivekananda with an iron rod and was caught by the locals when was about to escape jumping into the sea.
Later, the accused was handed over to the local police. The police has begun investigation.
