Karwar: India experiences a proud moment, as the Kaiga Nuclear Power Plant has produced electricity for continuous 894 days. This production scale is said to have written a new world record in the field of electricity production, and has now positioned India in the second spot on the global map.
The plant has produced a whopping 4,209.07 million units of electricity, from May 13, 2016, when its first unit was established.
From the time it was introduced, the unit has produced a total of 26,448.20 million units of electricity.
Also, the Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) has performed securely and exceedingly well, taking the country to the top of charts.
Normally the nuclear power plants in other states perform for 400 or 500 days, but the Kaiga Nuclear Plant Unit-I has stood as an exceptional one.
In Canada, a nuclear power plant had performed for 940 days and had secured the first position and United Kingdom’s Heysham Nuclear reactor had produced electricity for 893 days securing the second spot.
