Karwar: Arendur Masjid election issue, clash again among 2 groups

Karwar: A clash broke out between two groups over the President and Vice-President of a Mosque at Arendur Village in the Taluk on the morning of Friday November 11, after which some people were injured and admitted to hospital.

A case has been registered against both the groups at Siddapura Police Station again and the investigation is on after a clash broke out between two groups at the Shaadi Mahal of Badriya Jamia Masjid in the Town on Sunday last at a meeting to elect Budan Saab as the President by consensus of all. When the mosque’s Acting President Munawar Gurkar started reading out the names on the chit is when Budan Saab asked him to elect some members. Soon a scuffle broke out between the two groups of the mosque.

The conflict due to this hatred continues.
