Karwar: In a tragic incident, a moving cement lorry caught fire near Arabail in Yellapura Taluk on Tuesday January 17.
The truck was carrying cement from Mangaluru to Bagalakote earlier in the day. Fortunately, the driver escaped unhurt.
There was also a traffic jam for sometime due to the fire in the middle of the highway. Lakhs of rupees were lost due to the fire. The Fire Brigade reached the spot and doused the fire. The incident took place under Yellapura Police Station limits.
