Karwar: Prohibitory orders imposed around exam centres

Karwar: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will be conducting exams for admission to Class 6 of Morarji Desai, Kittur Rani Chennamma, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Indira Gandhi and Ekalavya Model Schools under the aegis of Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Association on Tuesday March 12 in Ankola, Bhatkal, Haliyal, Honnavar, Joida, Kumta, Mundagoda, Siddapura, Sirsi and Yellapura Taluks of the District.

Since these examinations have to be conducted in a transparent and orderly manner, the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC) has been asked to ensure that no illegal activity and untoward incidents take place at the examination centres. And also ordered to conduct the examination in a peaceful manner from the time of examination till the end of the examination.

Deputy Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti said that prohibitory orders have been issued under Section 144 of the Act.
