Karwar: A 50-feet-long Hanging bridge at Kotebail in Shigehalli village of Sirsi taluk has been constructed by the members of the Shaurya team of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Rural Development Project under the guidance of Project Officer Raghavendra.
In Kotebail village, where there are nine houses on one side and 10 houses on the other side, the villagers here, school and college students, were disrupted during the rainy season. Realizing this, the villagers had built a Hanging bridge for themselves.
Last year, a woman from the same village broke her leg after it fell off. Knowing this, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project has succeeded in constructing a suspension bridge with the help of his Shaurya team.
As a result, the villagers have to travel 10 km. The distance has been reduced. And for students going to schools and colleges, and for villagers who come to the city for business purposes. The villagers have also joined hands with the Shaurya team to build the bridge. Coordinator Savitha, Seva Representative Radha, Shaurya Team Narasimha, Unit Representative Manjunatha, Ananda, Nagaraja, Mamatha played an important role in the construction of the bridge.
