The Environment Stewardship Program (ESP) is a voluntary initiative with a mission to preserve the environment and was launched by the NPCIL. The specific focus of the programme is the environment around the nuclear plant site. The program, which is beyond the regulatory and statutory fulfilments, focuses on the scientific studies on bio-diversity, improvement of habitat and conservation of nature within and around the exclusion zones of Indian Nuclear Power Plant.
NPCIL as a responsible corporate citizen believes that these efforts will help in promoting habitat conservation and spread awareness about the importance of a healthy environment to make the world a better place to live in.
