Kasaragod: A massive hartal demanding an NIA probe into the death of a renowned Dentist Dr. Krishnamurthy Sarpangala happened here on Friday following the arrest of five persons related to the case.
Police have tightened security in the area.
The arrested accused have been identified as T. S. Ali Poottukallu, Mohammed Shihabuddin, Umarul Farooq, Ashraf, and Mohammed Hanif.
The 57-year-old dentist had one missing on the afternoon of November 8. Badiadka Police registered a missing person case following his wife’s complaint. On November 10, Dr. Krishnamurthy’s body was found on a railway track in the Hittiangadi village near Kundapura.
