Kasaragod: A two-day adventure camp programme with a difference was held at Venu Sharma’s house in Uppangala in the District on behalf of Fame Adventure Academy, Mangaluru.

Here children were mainly taught about river-rafting, first aid, measures to be followed in case of snake bite or fire, and jungle survival foods. With 6 to 7 programmes in a year, this adventure academy helps children develop an enthusiasm for adventure activities. A total of 22 people participated in this year’s Fame Adventure Camp. Accommodation was arranged for everyone in his farm house. This adventure camp is conducted at Shringashamala Resort in Belvai during non-monsoon season. There is no age limit to participate in this programme.

Speaking to NewsKarnataka, Venu Sharma, Founder of Fame Adventure, opined that this is a good opportunity to spend time in the lap of nature besides teaching basic concepts to children and common people. “There is no doubt that the main objective of these camps are to develop attitude of adventure in children.
