Kasaragod: Bekal Tourism Village will be launched with new attractions and aspirations in addition to the current tourism to enhance tourism in Beka, said P. A. Muhammed Riyaz, State Tourismand Public Works Minister.
He was at a press conference convened on Saturday October 8 after reviewing a range of tourism initiatives in the District. “A tourism village will be built on 32 acres of land in Ajanur Panchayat. They have already initiated the work. The intention is to attract greater and more global tourists to Bekal along with responsible tourism. Agriculture Tourism, Farm Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Rural Tourism and Cultural Tourism will all be in one place, said the Minister.
The brand and promo video of the Bekal International Beach Festival to be held in December was released by the Minister on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Bhandari Swagat and Tourism Director P. B. Nuh received the logo. MLA C. H. Kunhambu Zilla Panchayat Vice-President Shahnawaz Padur, Uduma Gram Panchayat President P. Lakshmi, BRDC MDP Shijin and others were present.
