Bengaluru-Hubballi bus fire: Suresh from Kundapur among three charred to death

Kundapur: A person from Kundapur was one among the three who were charred to death after a private bus caught fire on National Highway 4 at Varur near Hubballi on Wednesday, July 27.

Suresh Hegde (49) from Merdi near Basrur is one among the deceased. He is survived by his mother, wife and two children. The bus was reportedly moving from Bengaluru to Hubballi when it caught fire leading to the horrific incident.

Suresh was said to be working as a medial representative and was living with his wife Krishnaleela and a son who is in his pre-university at Shivamogga. He was travelling from Bengaluru on Tuesday night to Hubballi.

Suresh’s family who got the shocking news through television, rushed to Hubballi to retrieve his body. Police have said that a DNA test will be conducted to identify as the bodies were charred beyond recognition.

Govind Hegde and Sharada Hegde’s son Suresh was second among his five siblings. His wife Krishnaleela is a former president of Vaddarse gram panchayat.
