29-year-old videographer killed in accident at Mijar

Mangaluru: In a tragic accident at Mijar in Moodbidri, a young life was lost here on Wednesday, Oct 14. The deceased is Harish Acharya (29), who was a videographer in the city.
He is the son of Sridhar Acharya, a resident near Mahalingeshwara Temple, Shirtady.

It has been reported that Harish was to get married on the 25th of this month at Mahaveer Bhavan in Moodbidri and was out distributing invitations among his friends and relatives for the same. When he reached near Alva’s Engineering College at Mijar, a speeding bus moving towards Moodbidri rammed head-on into his car.

The impact of the collision was such that Harish sustained critical injuries and his car was smashed. He was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru but breathed his last on the way.

The impact is also said to have caused the car to turn backwards and hit another vehicle. The bus moved off the side of the road.

Moodbidri police have registered a case.
