Bantwal: A 7-year-old boy died after falling into a pond on November 24 at Umashivaksetra Temple near Kalladka.
The deceased is identified as Shriram, son of Sathyanarayana, resident of Bhagavathikodi, Neralakatte. This incident was reported while Shriram visited his grandparents’ residence along with his parents. While Shriram was playing with his friend, he accidentally fell into a pond. Though the local people who gathered in the spot, took the boy out of water, he died on the way to hospital.
Shriram was pursuing his second standard in Mani Balavikasa English Medium School. A case has been registered in Bantwal Town Police Station.
