Absconding history-sheeter finally lands in police net

Kasaragod: Vidyanagar police arrested a history-sheeter involved in 11 criminal cases including rape and murder on August 1.

The accused has been identified as Muhammad Ali (32), a resident of Chattananchal Puttariyadka.

The accused has 11 cases pending against him with five each in Vidyanagar and rest of Kasaragod police station limits, police said. He was earlier booked in a case of attempt to murder Ashraf in Poinachi and later slapped with POSCO few months ago for raping a 16-year-old girl in Bekal police station limits.

Assault on intelligence inspector Rajesh and his vehicle driver Vinod Kumar in 2011, attempting to murder Abdul Khadar at Koliyadka Shivapura and inflicting stab injuries on Abid at Bendichhal in 2013 are the other serious crimes committed by the accused.

History-sheeter Muhammad Ali who was absconding for quite some time ran out of luck and finally landed in police net.
