Aged couple end lives at Ashoknagar

Mangalore :  An elderly man and his wife were found dead in their house near Mariamma Gudi at Urva, Ashoknagar on June 19, Wednesday. Their bodies were found hanging from the ceiling of the house.

The  two have been identified as Padmanabh (74), a retired teacher and his wife Yamuna (60). It is not yet clear as to what prompted the couple to take to the extreme step. Police have meanwhile recovered a suicide note left behind by the couple. Its contents are not yet known.

However, sources said the Yamuna faced health problems. The bodies have been shifted to Wenlock Hospital.

Urva police are conducting the investigations.
