Mangaluru: As part of the Ayush programme to be held on December 19 and 20 at Pilikula, a free health checkup camp and distribution of health cards was inaugurated by Dr Rajaneesh Sorake, Karnataka Ayurvedic Medical college trustee on Wednesday, December 16.
Dr Iqbal, Dr Gopalakrishna Nayak, Dr Sachin Nadka, Dr Karthik, U K Khalid, Dr Uday D K, Dr Elizabeth P John were present.
AYUSH Habba – 2015 will be held on December 19 and 20 at Dr Shivarama Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama.
The event will be organized under the joint aegis of Ayush Department, Dakshina Kannada District Administration and AYUSH Foundation, Mangaluru in association with various medical colleges.
As a curtain raiser a walkathon will be held on December 17 from Bunts Hostel Circle to Nehru Maidan followed by a ‘Yoga For All’ session by the students of various AYUSH colleges.
Cosmetic clinics will also be setup during the two-day event. An interactive session with AYUSH experts and farmers regarding the cultivation of various medicinal plants and their market, a workshop on lifestyle and quiz competition for high school and PUC students will also be held.
