Mangaluru: The clamour to call off the Yettinahole project has been growing with numerous social-service organizations and individuals organizing protests and blocks in various parts of the undivided Dakshina Kannada.
Dakshina Kannada (DK) district Anganawadi Workers Association and DK Stree-Shakti groups will be the latest addition to the list, as they will hold a protest rally against the project on October 29 starting from 10am in Mangaluru.
Addressing media persons on Wednesday, October 21, President of the Anganawadi Workers Association informed that they would take out the protest rally from Mangala Stadium and culminate at the DC’s office via Lalbagh – PVS – Bunts Hostel – Jyoti.
Thousands of women are expected to participate in the protest.
