Mangaluru: On Monday October 18, an auto driver allegedly killed himself by jumping off Gurpur bridge into the river below.
The person identified as Sathish Poojary (32) is an auto-rickshaw driver in the City. According to sources, he lived with his wife in a house at the Ganjimath-Malali cross.
The body has not yet been found. The Bajpe police are still searching the river for the mortal remains, with the help of locals.
According to sources, the victim previously owned and operated a push-cart-based fast food establishment at Ganjimath junction. According to police sources, family issues are considered to be the cause for the suicide.
