Mangaluru: Akhila Bharatha Hindu Mahasabha has demanded dismissal and registration of an attempt to murder case against the Station Officer Sandesh, who has allegedly assaulted 3 Hindu youth.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Thursday April 28 here, Akhila Hindu Mahasabha General Secretary Dharmendra said that the attack by the Station Officer was inhuman because he was a Hindu activist and demanded not only his dismissal but also dismissal of the other police personnel of the station. If the Congress had been in power, it would have been a different matter. Hindus are patient as it is BJP which has formed the Government in the State. This has exposed the opportunistic mentality of the BJP. I don’t understand why the Police Commissioner is silent. It is learnt that the accused officer displays ludicrous behaviour. If such a mindset continues among people in the Government service, it is sure a recipe for future disaster.

Though Dakshina Kannada District is communally sensitive, no such incidents have taken place in police stations so far. But the fact that the Inspector and staff of Bajpe Police Station are from a different community and have shown enmity towards a Hindu activist, which is extremely inhuman. The Police Department has been let down by such goondaism. At the same time, the Hindu Mahasabha welcomes the move of Mangaluru Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar amid all this to suspend some policemen for enquiry is really noteworthy.
